✦The Five Systems · practical playbooks
Contents

Read this first if you've never practiced any of this before. The full library is the whole system; you do not run the whole system on day one. This doc is the on-ramp — it tells you exactly what to do, in what order, and what to ignore until you're ready.

The one rule that governs everything here:

A beginner fails by adding, not by starting. The practice works when it becomes a habit; a habit forms from a small, repeated action, not a big, intense one. If anything in this doc feels like "a lot," you've skipped a stage.

The route map (which doc to read, when)

Stage What you're doing Read
Before you start Set up, measure baseline 11-beginner-path.md (this), 01-haanel.md (Part A only), 10-measurement.md, 12-tracker.md
Stage 0 (Week 1) The two anchors only 04-emile-coue.md + 02-neville-goddard.md (Parts A–B)
Stage 1 (Weeks 2–4) Add the discipline block 01-haanel.md (full)
Stage 2 (Weeks 5–8) Add one system by need 03-bruce-lipton.md or 05-joe-dispenza.md
Stage 3 (Month 3+) Full integration 07-combined-practice.md or 09-alternate-combined.md
Reference Remind yourself what's real 08-science-reality-check.md

You will not read all twelve documents this week. You read this one and two Part A/B sections. That's it.

Before you start (do this once, 30 minutes)

1. Pick ONE goal for your first run

Not the whole bundle. Pick the single sub-goal that everything else builds on. For most people starting from zero, that's:

"I am the person who keeps my promises to myself." — the practice itself.

Because the first goal is making the practice stick. Once showing up is automatic, you point it at health, then career, then trading. A bundle goal on day one is how beginners get overwhelmed and quit.

2. Measure your baseline (today)

The practice is real; it's also invisible unless you measure. Write these down and date them — you will re-test at the end of each month:

Date: ______
2km run time: ______ Pushups (max): ______
Pullups (max): ______ Surya Namaskar count: ______
Savings balance: ______ Sleep quality (1–10): ______
Stress level (1–10): ______ Deep-work hours/day: ______

Do NOT judge the numbers. They are the starting line, not a report card. (Copy them into 10-measurement.md — that's where the monthly re-test lives.)

3. Set up the two anchor tools

  • Coué counter: 20 beads, or a knotted string, or your fingers. (You need a physical way to count 20 without thinking about it.)
  • Your one goal sentence (from Step 1). For the "keep my promises" goal: "I keep my promises to myself."

That's the entire setup. No app, no tracker, no special equipment.

Stage 0 — The Floor (Week 1, ~15 min/day)

Your entire job for the first 7 days is two anchors plus your existing daily routine — nothing else. No Haanel block, no Dispenza, no combined practice. Resist the urge to do more. The anchors are:

Anchor 1 — Coué at waking (3 min, in bed)

  1. Wake up. Stay in bed, eyes closed, body soft.
  2. Whisper, monotone, counting 20 on your counter:

"Every day, in every way, I'm getting better and better."

  3. Then 20×: "I keep my promises to myself."
  4. Get up. Don't check if it worked.

(Full mechanics: 04-emile-coue.md Parts B + the ⚑ box.)

Anchor 2 — Neville SATS at night (5 min, in bed)

  1. Before you fall asleep, build one short scene that implies your goal is already done — for a beginner, the scene is you doing this practice easily. A simple one: you're brushing your teeth at night, calm, and you think "I did it again today."
  2. Loop it, first person, until you drift off. Fall asleep inside it.

(Full mechanics: 02-neville-goddard.md Parts A–B.)

What your day actually looks like (Week 1)

Waking Coué 20× + 20× (in bed)
Daily Your normal routine — work, trading window, family
Night Neville scene, fall asleep in it

That's it. Fifteen minutes of new behavior. Do not add the Haanel block, the yoga quota, or a new sleep schedule in Week 1. If you already do yoga or meditation, keep doing them — the point is to add only the anchors and change nothing else.

The only metric that matters in Stage 0

The streak. Did you do both anchors every day? 7/7 by Sunday = you pass Stage 0. Missed a day? It happens — do the two anchors that night and keep the streak counting forward. Never quit because of one miss.

Stage 1 — Add the Discipline Block (Weeks 2–4, ~35 min/day)

Gate to enter: 7/7 anchors in Week 1.

Now add the Haanel block to the morning, between waking and the rest of your day:

Waking Coué 20× + 20× (in bed)
Morning Haanel block: Concentration (5 min) → Visualization (5–8 min)
→ Affirmation (5 min), one theme for the week
Daily Your normal routine
Night Neville scene, fall asleep in it

Read 01-haanel.md in full first — it has the exact exercise mechanics and the ⚑ details (same chair/time, first person, no process in the scene, no efforting).

Stage 1 is the discipline that carries everything else. This is where you build the muscle that will later power the trading window discipline and the savings rate. Take it seriously and don't rush to add more.

Gate to enter Stage 2: 21-day streak (anchors + Haanel most days) and the morning block feels automatic, not effortful.

Stage 2 — Add ONE system, by need (Weeks 5–8)

Gate to enter: 21-day streak. Now pick one system to add, based on the single loudest need. Pick only one:

If your loudest need is… Add Read
A belief is blocking you (money, self-image, "I can't" voice) Lipton 03-bruce-lipton.md
An identity shift (become the person who…) Dispenza 05-joe-dispenza.md
A health/state/habit target (sleep, anxiety, mood) Coué deep-dive 04-emile-coue.md full
The goal bundle is live and needs a plan Workbook 06-goal-workbook.md

Run that one system for the month. Do not add a second. A beginner running Lipton + Dispenza + Haanel simultaneously is overload — the docs warn about this in every "Why it fails" section.

Stage 3 — Full integration (Month 3+)

Gate to enter: you've run Stage 2 for a month and it feels maintained, not effortful. Now you can run the full combined practice:

  • Pick 07-combined-practice.md (same systems daily, 3 tiers) if your days are uniform and you want a fixed ritual.
  • Pick 09-alternate-combined.md (rotating domain week) if your days vary or you're pushing one domain hard.

Use Tier 1 as your floor on bad days, Tier 2 as standard, Tier 3 for pushes — exactly as those docs describe. And start adding your other goals (health numbers, career, trading, Switzerland) one at a time into the same system.

The beginner's mistakes (each is a real failure mode, not a list of vibes)

  1. Reading all twelve documents on day one. Overload. You need this doc + one Part A/B at a time. The library is a reference, not a reading list.
  2. Running the full combined practice in Week 1. The #1 way to quit. Stage 0 exists because it's the right size.
  3. Adding a system every time motivation dips. More practice doesn't fix a waning habit — a smaller practice does. Drop to the anchors, don't add.
  4. Trying to "mean it" in the Coué chant. That's effort, and effort is the one thing Coué says defeats itself. Monotone, mechanical, zero will.
  5. Designing a new Neville scene nightly. One fixed scene until it feels like a memory — redesigning every night means none of them land.
  6. Measuring results daily. Weekly/monthly only. Daily auditing is the documented reason people conclude "this doesn't work."
  7. Judging the baseline. "My 2km time is embarrassing." The baseline is the starting line. Without it you can't see the improvement.
  8. Waiting to feel disciplined before starting. The schedule makes the discipline; the feeling follows. You don't start when you're ready — you start and the readiness comes.

The one-page beginner summary

WEEK 1 (Stage 0): Two anchors only.
Morning Coué 20× general + 20× "I keep my promises to myself"
Night Neville SATS scene, fall asleep in it
Metric Streak. 7/7 by Sunday = pass.

WEEKS 2–4 (Stage 1): Add the Haanel block each morning.
Metric 21-day streak, block feels automatic.

WEEKS 5–8 (Stage 2): Add ONE system by need (Lipton / Dispenza / Coué deep / Workbook).
  Metric One system, one month.

MONTH 3+ (Stage 3): Full integration (07 or 09 combined practice).
  Metric Tiers: 1 = floor, 2 = standard, 3 = pushes.

Re-test your baseline the last day of every month.

If you only remember three things:

  1. Start with the two anchors and nothing else.
  2. A bad day drops to the anchors — never to zero.
  3. The streak is the practice. Everything else is depth.
